AO: The Blitz
Workout Date: 10/14/20
Prologue:
This is my tenth Q of the 2020 Q Challenge. Cue the Bon Jovi: “Whoa-oah! We’re halfway there-ere!”
Nerves were high for this one. I’ve gotten pretty comfortable with the standard boot camp format. Leading with a heavy prop for forty five minutes is something else. Not my first second bell, but it sure felt like it. I spent a decent amount of time the day prior (and night) looking up kettlebell workouts and building a playlist. I even went with a Weinke. MPigpen was concerned I was still working on it at 11PM. YHC wasn’t expecting much sleep, so I wasn’t fazed. With all of my prep work, I still somehow managed to show up with two right-handed gloves.

This was my most anticipated (by me) Q of the Q Challenge. I probably would’ve kept putting it off if it weren’t for the Challenge making me finally do it. It could have been smoother, but it worked out. Overall, I’m very to have it under my belt. Lots of mumble chatter, which Yukon reminded me is the norm here. It went a lot more quickly than I expected. The playlist serves as a great reminder of the pace.
I really enjoyed making the playlist. A great bonus is discovering PAX with similar tastes. Shout out to fellow Life’s Rich Pageant fan Yukon and Iron Maiden fan State Farm. Everybody already knows Go Long is a huge Rush fan, right?
Fazio took a hard spill on the last lap and I hear Steroid has already lawyered up. I quickly reminded everyone that I had given the disclaimer. In all seriousness, I’m thankful it didn’t seem to be that bad and I hope our brother heals quickly.
This was my tenth #F3Q20 #2020Challenge Q. Next stop is The Forge on 10/20.
