This is the second of a few backblasts that YHC is writing a month or so late as I got caught up in Snowbird’s March Madness Challenge and Backblasts got put on the Back-burner.
Sooo… about March Madness…. after telling me he wasn’t putting up a fight, Boitano is putting up a fight. He says that when I told him I was relieved we were done he took that to mean I was done. After telling me he was done, Boitano went on to double down that night at Dark Knight and also double down the next morning at Fight Club and Late Night. Believing he was done I handed off my Thursday night Q at Carpex’s Ragnarok and skipped the workout. I also missed my Q at Brick City because BC tweeted out that the main workout was cancelled due to heavy thunderstorms. All of this also occurred while the Challenge website was down. So I logged on Friday morning to find Boitano with a four point jump in 24 hours. After some personal contemplation and a couple of conversations with my M, I quickly reclaimed the remaining Qs I had dropped and hustled my rear over to The Arena to get back in the game.
After the Arena, we both double downed Saturday at Quickhatch and The Crick, and we both hit Black Ops on Sunday. Here I was in for a surprise as Boitano brought out an FNG! Black Ops is somewhat sketchy as an official F3 workout and Boitano was very polite asking if it was OK. I didn’t want to lose, but I’m also not going to stand in the way of an FNG finding F3. I still had a lead, but FNGs would be difficult to counter. I spent my long run coming to peace with losing and also racking my brain for anybody I could bring out.
This was all the background leading up to my first repeat Q of 2021. After the hit and miss of my first Murph playlist, I picked an eclectic mix of some of my favorite fun songs and set the alarm with enough time to get in a prerun.
Warm Up:
Give the mission statement, check for FNGs, give the disclaimer, and warm up:
It’s been a month. We did stuff. It was short, as I learned last week not to take too long.

T-claps to Jersey Mikes for joining us after running into us last week!
I enjoyed making the playlist for this workout. It was all over the place, but fun. In hindsight, I should probably have included Eye of the Tiger.
This was my first repeat Q of 2021. My next Q is also a repeat Q back at Carpex Rush Hour on 3/30 to get those sweet, sweet half points for March Madness.
My next #F3Q21 #2021Challenge Q is The Blitz on 3/31.
