28 men stormed Bastille to end their week right. In addition to celebrating YHC’s birthday (#respect-1) we also gave credit to the 36th anniversary of the US Men’s National Hockey Team victory in Lake Placid. With no FNGs a brief parental disclaimer was given (“This is going to hurt me a lot more than it hurts you”).

The Thang

In honor of the hockey team and the great Herb Brooks (a great motivator and a great punisher) we took on one of his punishments. Run to the road and line up at first light pole (goal line). About 50 yards down was the next light pole (blue line) and 50 yards past that was the next light pole (red line). Sprint to the blue line then back to the goal line. Then from the goal line to the red line, red line to the blue line, blue line to the red line and back to the goal line. At the goal line do merkins until all the PAX were back and doing merkins. We did this five times with various exercises.

To the basketball court for a death star with one corner doing burpees, one doing squat jumps, one doing merkins and one doing jump lunges. The group in the middle did step ups as a group until they got to a collective 100 and then the groups would switch either bear crawling or crab walking to the next station.

Run up to pavilion for dips 2×15, 1×19 = 49

Circle up in parking lot in plank. Hold plank while each PAX did a slow merkin until we got to 49.
