Prologue:
I considered posting at The Crick this past Saturday but went for the smart sack instead after Juggernaut last week. I’m on a Jacob’s Ladder kick at the moment and my memory was telling me the hill at the corner of Brier Creek Parkway and Vogel would be good for it. I stalked the AO on my way to and from work yesterday to remind myself of the AO’s footprint and realized the hill was much smaller than I remembered. What to do? Hey, why not double it up and do each round twice?

Warm Up:
Check for FNGs, give the mission and disclaimer, and mosey up to the main parking lot for warm ups:
Side Straddle Hops x20 In Cadence (IC)
Good Mornings x10 IC
Imperial Walkers x20 IC
Sir Fazio Arm Circles x10 IC Forward, x10 IC Reverse
Monkey Humpers x10 IC
Standard Merkins x10 On My Down (OMD)
Mountain Climbers x10 IC (American Mountain Climbers, as the PAX pointed out)

World’s Greatest Stretch

Main Event:
1) Mosey to corner of parking lot closest to the gym and partner up for Dora 1-2-3: Merkin x100, Little Baby Crunches (LBCs) x200, Squats x300. Runner loops the full parking lot.
2) Mosey around school to the wall on Vogel Street for Balls To The Wall. T-claps to Van Der Beek for reminding us to keep quiet. We had a hard time with that. Counting started from both ends, so once we met in the middle, YHC called an audible to skip the remaining wall exercises. Cobains to those PAX eagerly awaiting Australian Mountain Climbers.
3) Mosey to corner of Vogel and Brier Creek Parkway for Double Jacob’s Ladder: run up the hill and do a burpee and then back down far side of the hill to bus loop. Then run back up hill and do another burpee, then return to street corner. Work our way up the ladder to 7 burpees one way and 7 burpees back for a total count of 56 burpees. Squat hold or plank for the six between each run. Stagger runners by using the partners from Dora. Partner 1 starts, Partner 2 follows once Partner 1 starts to head down the hill. The PAX (and the clock) were feeling it after 5 rounds but we kept going for the full seven. Good work!
Mosey back to parking lot for abbreviated Mary. PAX got YHC concerned that the playground gate was locked and we couldn’t take the shortcut, but it was unlocked and we were able to proceed. I’m glad no one tried to hop the gate before we verified it was unlatched.

Mary:
Dolly x20 IC (audible switch from LBCs after complaints from Manziel pointing out we’d already done a lot of LBCs)
Homer to Marge x20 IC
Have a Nice Day

COT:

Prayers for Art Vandelay’s coworker’s family, Candlestick’s mom, Van Der Beek’s extended family, possibly another I can’t remember
YHC took us out

Naked Moleskin:
I love the later start time for the Crick. I usually skip the preruns when I Q but since it would also start later and would only be a couple of miles, I went for it.
I don’t post The Crick as often as I’d like, but it’s always enjoyable. Even more fellowship on the prerun. I hope to be back soon.
This was my eighth #F3Q21 #2021Challenge Q. Next stop is North Hills on 2/1 (Monday)
