AO: Agoge (NE Wake)
Workout Date: 07/12/21
Agoge is my final stop in “unincorporated” NE Wake, assuming no new AOs are launched this year. I’d been to Agoge a couple of times years ago, and I really only remembered doing exercises (Death Star?) in the big field down the hill. I had intended to post early and mosey, but that didn’t work out. Luckily the King in the North himself, Floppy Disk was there, and I flat out asked him for suggestions, at least until I got my feet under me.
Warm Up:
State the mission, check for FNGs (0), and give the disclaimer
Side Straddle Hop x20 In Cadence (IC)
Good Morning x5 IC
Imperial Walker x20 IC
Sir Fazio Arm Circles forward x10 IC, reverse x10 IC
Main Event
1) Per Floppy’s suggestion (and initial guidance), we headed over to the big steps in front of the Student Center for a winding mosey up and down the stairs. “Serpentine” he called it, if I recall correctly. Three laps of three up and down passes.
2) Ready to go now. Sevens from Patterson Hall up West to the intersection with Wingate. Squats and Star Jumps.
3) Mosey to the Wall by the Student Center for Wall Work. Balls to the Wall with ten counts down the line. Then Peoples Chair with 10 counts. Then Australian Mountain Climbers x10 IC.
4) Mosey back to Patterson Hall for Stationary Sevens. Full set of Sevens with no run in between. Basically point A is point A AND point B. Then run a lap around Patterson. Do this three times. Round 1: Merkins and LBCs, Rounds 2 and 3, I don’t remember. Cobains.
5) Mosey to the back hill for Jacob’s Ladder (burpees) back up the hill.
Mary:
A couple of minutes of Mary. I don’t remember all we did. Dolly, Homer to Marge, Freddy Mercurys were likely. All x10 IC.

Naked Moleskin:
It’s always a blast to hang with our brothers to the North. Recently on their Facebook group it was mentioned that a visiting PAX had said that they “do it right” in NE Wake. The fellowship I’ve experienced at workouts and coffeeteria has been outstanding. Everyone should pay them a visit (or two).
T-claps to Floppy Disk for the assist this morning. Have I called him “The King in the North” too much? Maybe I’ll stop after this backblast. Maybe.
I try to mix up my Qs, at least when I know I have a “return customer” or two in the PAX. Even before Spit Valve joked about it, I was racking my brain to find something a little different. The stationary sevens (still working on a better name) were it this time. At least they were better than Bat Wings, eh Spit Valve?
I came to Agoge a few years ago to support a friend who really needed F3. Unfortunately it didn’t take at the time. I reached out to see if he’d join us today, but he’s recovering from surgery and another health scare. I’m praying he will be back out soon. I’ll let you guys know if he does.
This was my seventy-sixth #F3Q21 #2021Challenge Q (seventy-eighth overall). Next Q is Tuesday (tomorrow) at Field of Dreams in Carpex..
