Les Nessman reporting from Urban Jungle this morning. It was a perfect morning for a maiden beatdown. After an afternoon of Twitter banter the day before, YHC could tell this was going to be a solid pain session. 32 PAX made their way out into the gloom, including 1 FNG. A disclaimer was given, and we headed out into the field.
The Thang:
Mosey over to the bank parking lot for warm-ups: SSH x20, Good Morning’s x10, Fazios x10 (and reverse), Imperial Walkers x15
Frogger over to the CapTrust tower base. Split into two lines lead by Gnobby and YHC. In honor of QIC’s first ever post back in February lead by Larry David, PAX proceeded to indian run the parking deck.
Upon reaching the top, YHC introduced a Crucible favorite to the PAX. Our two groups lined up for the down-slope edition of Big Mic(k) (two lines, plank head to foot, man at back calls cadence on 5 merkins for his line, then bear crawls to front of line while group holds plank position, rinse repeat). This challenge was intensified by the large number of PAX, and our lines had to curl with the parking deck turns. There was an abundance of pain.
Mosey down to a level with a flat surface. Group 1 Balls to the Walls, Group 2 sprint to other side of the level prisoner squats x15 and back, flapjack. Group 1 people’s chair, Group 2 sprints, Star jumps x15 and back, flapjack.
Like turkeys descending from the sky, we took the stairs down to the base level. Chilcutts while everyone exited the deck.
Mosey back to the intersection, plank at the light before frogger over.
Jog down to the parking deck for a few pull-up suicides. To the first beam pull-ups x5 and back, second beam x4 and back, continue all the way down to one.
Back to the studio for Mary, lead by Gnobby.
