As YHC pulled into the parking lot of Cedar Falls Park this morning he was shocked and excited at the lack of available parking spots. The massive group of MWF Chapel Hill regulars has finally begun to creep its way into Tuesdays. Shattering the previous record of 8, 17 PAX were ready to tackle the (in)famous Playlist of Pain. The darkness and cold couldn’t hold back these brave PAX who just wanted to enjoy a beatdown while listening to some good tunes.

The Thang:

Warm-Up (to the theme from “Rudy”)- Jog, skip, and shuffle around the field. Circle up for a quick record breaking count off and then

  • Arm circle x 12 (both ways)
  • Merkins x 10
  • Mountain Climbers x 15

Mosey to the playground to begin the Playlist of Pain. Workout to music in intervals. Each song plays for 1 minute. Switch exercise when the song changes.Concurrently, two people at a time do 10 pull-ups each on the wheel of misery followed by 10 upward rows on the swings. Exercises included:

  • Jog in place
  • Fast feet with 90 degree rotation on Q’s call
  • Butt Kickers
  • High Knees
  • Log Jumps
  • Burpees
  • SSH

Mosey to the tennis court to continue the playlist of pain with the following exercises:

  • Suicides
  • Switch Kicks
  • Fast Feet with a merkin on Q’s call
  • Ground Shuffle Hop

  • Hooks and high jumps
  • Squat Shuffle Hop
