First thing’s first: major T-Claps to the PAX for showing up in numbers this AM.  And one for myself for remembering 24 names.  Yup, I’ve still got it, unlike some recent QICs who’ve let their “Respect” (ahem: Old Guy) status fly freely and simply list “one other PAX” or “that last guy I can’t remember”.  Honestly though, I am pretty sure one of them does it intentionally for the chance to do some pre-game penalty burpees.  Although that’s still better than Chef Tell putting the EH on a co-worker, convincing him to post, and then fartsacking.  #StoodUp #AwkwardDayAtTheOffice.  I convinced Biner a week ago that since we share a name, except for a single consonant, we might as well share a Q.  He agreed…although I’m pretty certain there were one or two PAX who wished he hadn’t.  The alternative was my half birthday, half-Murph day celebration, so count your blessings.  With a reasonable approximation of a disclaimer spoken for the benefit of the FNG, Biner led us away.

The Warm-up (Biner’s Beginnings):

Before we get to the details, let me just say that it is heart-warming the way our PAX welcomes new Qs into our midst.  Lots of support, overlooking minor errors in cadence count decorum, and generally just making a new guy feel welcome at the helm.  Wait, no, that’s not right.  I think Biner was on about his second 1-2-3 before Franklin opened the floodgates of “constructive criticism”.  I mean, IF you had any trouble telling which 1-2-3 was his final, Biner had the courtesy to shout “halt”, so there’s that.  Well, I guess what doesn’t kill you….

Good mornings

Something about the glint in Biner’s eye as he jogged us over to the soccer field made me think he was pretty certain the mumblechatter was about to stop

The Thang (Bin-Ker’s Beatdown):

Biner split the group in two, one a the endline for a suicide variation (18yd for 5 burpees and back, midfield for 10 merkins and back, opposite 18yd for 15 squats and back) while the other group had their BTTW.  Flapjack and then repeato.  Somewhere along the way, I became very glad that 1) Nature Boy and Franklin were in my group and limited the length of my BTTW and 2) that lying awake at 2am last night I thought to myself, “Biner won’t really push the legs today, will he?  Maybe I can still fit my XXL suicides in up at the USA Baseball parking lot.  Nah, he said cardio, so I should think of something else.”  #Coordination.

Biner passed the torch to YHC and I took us back over to the TOCRP.  Kudos to Biner, my original plan was for a five minute plank with various exercises mixed in, but I was already a bit toasted and only made it to two.

20 Merkins IC, hold it

15 plank jacks IC, hold it

Chill cut, hold it

Regular, hold it, and recover.

Grab a rock and it’s time for two-light length 11s.  Down, 1 jump-lunge, return, 10 rock-squat-presses.  You know the rest.  The smiles and elation of the PAX as we passed each other going back and forth affirmed in my mind that I had made the right decision at 2am…although sitting at my desk 8 hours later, my back subtly disagrees.  We finished it off with some Imperial Squat Walkers, although Callahan kindly let YHC know I was not doing HIS version of an ISW (so supportive).  All right, we can start over then.

Back to TOCRP to return the rocks and hit another 2 minutes of plank.

Mary (Beaker’s Bellies)

Dolly showed, as usual.  So did LOW slow flutters, although Franklin and I disagree about how many must actually be slow to warrant the name (so nurturing).  LBCs and Peter-Parker-Peters and we were done.  I was ready to circle up for COT, but Shut-In prefers to be a little closer to the cars, so we moved (so thoughtful)

COT (Beaker’s Benediction)

Apparently, the Faithful were concerned we may have lost a man or two, because we absolutely HAD to count-o-rama again (so helpful): 24, good we’re all here

Name-o-rama: still 24, but I didn’t count.  Lots of Respects, including the co-Q

Announcements: Krispy Kreme Challenge, which apparently takes place in the distant future, so we’ll be hearing about this for a while.

Callahan shared something about something that happens sometime, but isn’t planning to attend, but thinks you should.  Actually, see here (http://f3nation.com/2016/10/10/f3-raleigh-pig-pickin-pre-blast/) or here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Tls_O3WL_sjy53TmZe0oTaCek4xXmvAuO_a5s31CANQ/edit#gid=0)

YHC mentioned a Churham email trying to get a contingent to head out East this weekend to help in efforts cleaning up post-Matthew (and passed it along this AM).

Prayers: Khakis Kinston family farm devastated, lots of cleanup.

Goose’s M-in-law passed, Swag’s M-in-law battling cancer.

Great morning gents.  Keep bringing it like this and we might need a second Tuesday AO!  Kidding, kidding, too soon?  Always a pleasure.
