With BRR underway, it was expected that turnout might be light for local F3 AOs this weekend.  YHC read the Twitter early this am to see that Whiplash was dead today, and that #Phoenix was alive.  Jumped in the swagger wagon with 15 minutes until go time, and rolled up to see Keester sitting in the lot solo.

Hmmm.  6:59:40 and Jelly Belly rolls in…we have a quorum!  Fielded an inquiry from a potential FIA about if we were the run group.  Ummmm, no.

No FNG, no disclaimer, and we audibled that we’d rotate the Q’s.  Oh, and Keester casually mentioned he’d been there a little early and already ran 3 miles.  SO, there!

Warmup jog up and down to the kiosk, where we rotated through some warmups.

Good Mornings

Cotton pickers

Burpees (ouch!)

The Thang

Jog down towards the lake, take a left towards the baseball field.  Aha!  Startle a wake and baker in the bleachers.

Jelly Belly audibled that we should do stuff with the lines and fence, so we did.

Out and back run from right field line to left field fence and back, do 5 Merkins.  First time across we had an awesome hawk for supervision.

Repeato, but add 5 reps of something every time.

Spider Man Merkins

Enough with this spot, let’s move on.

Exited the ballpark, made a run along the greenway until we found a fence.  Irkin and Dirkin time 20 OYO.

Jelly Belly audibled with community service opportunity.  Off to the amphitheater to pick some weeds.  Bear crawls to the top, jog down, repeato.  Box jumps on stage at the turn.

Decided a crab crawl might be worth trying.  Wouldn’t try that again.

Box jumps again at the stage.

New exercise in honor of olympics, bleacher hurdles (we called them Jackie Joyner’s for lack of a better name).

Left the amphitheater, mosey up to the shelter for squirrel crawls down and back along the picnic table benches.  Amused another wake and baker watching from the sidelines.

Ambled over to the playground for 10x pullups at kiddieland.  Then some LBCs.  Keester audibled THROWDOWNS.  He proceeded to demonstrate and crush us with his 25 reps.  Old Maid got 10 barely, Jelly Belly with 15.  Ouch.

Decided it was time to head back towards the start.  Dropped back by the amphitheater for some more Jackie Joyner’s.

Social run back to the kiosk where Jelly Belly and Old Maid took the longer flat road, Keester tackled the hill.  Met back up a the T-intersection and headed in for some Mary.
