Always a pleasure for YHC to lead The Crucible.  Have been coming here for years and love the site (and the pax who show up).  Today YHC decided to have a lesson in the workout, so we had a rock as a friend throughout the workout.  Not easy…

WARMUP

THE THANG

Split into three groups and headed to three stations (rock traveled with us).

Station 1 – 8 cones, 25 merkins, 25 lbc’s repeato

Station 2 – 10 burpees, take 10 steps (with rock), repeato

Station 3 – 10 star jumps, take 10 steps (or 30 if you’re group number 3), repeato

Circled up after that for have a nice day.

Surprised by how hard it was and how long it took us to get through it all.  As promised, we did work up a good sweat to start the week off right!

Prayers – Tuscadero’s co-worker after miscarriage, Sunny D – pen palling with inmate.  A praise for Superstar running a 5:24 mile last week at age 12.  May be onto something…

YHC shared Hebrews 12:1-2 – “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,  looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Reminded the pax that in life we have sins that hold us down (like the rock did today) and we need to set that aside and trust the Lord to help us grow into the men He has called us to be.
