AO: The Judge
Workout Date: 07/29/21
When Snowbird announced this month’s challenge (post the same AO four times this month), I initially decided to skip it as my calendar was already blocked. After some time thinking about it, I decided to postpone my Q at Guacalatte to make it work. As I wanted to Q all week for my birthday week, I went ahead and signed up for my third repeat Q of the year. As for what to do, for my last Judge Q I stole Pony Express’s format. For this Q I decided to steal Blue Crush’s Judge Q from just last week, only changing the circuit direction to counterclockwise. With numbers at the Judge being low since COVID, I figured the odds were good no one besides myself would be repeating the workout anyways.

Warm Up:
Mosey to the oval
State the mission, check for FNGs(0), and give the disclaimer.
Side Straddle Hops x10 In Cadence (IC)
Good Mornings x5 IC
Imperial Walkers x10 IC
Sir Fazio Arm Circles forward x10 IC
Sir Fazio Arm Circles reverse x10 IC
Stretching: Downward Dog with calf isolations, world’s greatest stretch

Main Event:
1) Run the following circuit (counterclockwise!): At the Corn Cob: Burpees x5, Merkins x10, Squats x15. At the Dojo, Irkins x10, Dips x10, Box Jumps x10. Back at the oval, Little Baby Crunches x20, Runner’s Sit Ups x20. Run circuit until 6:08, meet back at oval.
2) Run an extra lap for distance (Red Card and Ben Johnson did this twice, YHC only once)

Mary:
More stretching. Downward dog with calf insolations, Up dog, World’s Greatest Stretch with pigeon pose thrown in.

COT:
3 PAX. I thought I would be solo before BJ and RC pulled up at 0528 (they showed up to prerun but the gates were locked and they had parked elsewhere)

Announcements: (not all of these were brought up at COT, but they are on the calendar)
1) South Wake/Carpex Q Swap Week(s): This week in South Wake, First week of August in Carpex.
2) New SE Raleigh AO (Brother’s Keeper) opens 7/31

Prayers for healthy recoveries for family members, family members passing professional exams. Prayers unspoken.
Red Card took us out.

Naked Moleskin:
I’ve got to confess part of me was hoping I’d be solo so I could take it a little easier today (maybe two circuits instead of 3?). It was great that Ben Johnson and Red Card showed. Much more accountability. The F3 way!
This was my eighty-seventh Q of the year. As a repeat Q, no movement on the #F3Q21 #2021Challenge Qs (still as eighty-four). Next Q is Friday (tomorrow!) at Gran Torino in Carpex. Birthday Q #5!
