We had a great showing today leading into the holiday weekend.  17 Pax, including 1 FNG, came out to Cletus.  A little chilly today, so we began by separating into 2 groups for a slow Indian Run with applesauce (5 merkins before running to the front) towards the opposite parking lot.

  • Side Straddle Hops in cadence to 20
  • Windmills in cadence to 15
  • Sir Fazio Arm Circles in cadence to 10 (did forwards and backwards)
  • Imperial Walkers in cadence to 16
  • Mountain Climbers in cadence to 20

The Thang

  • Bearpees curb-2-curb (Burpees and Bear Crawls at a 1:4 ratio).  Once we got to the opposite curb, we increased the numbers (did 2:8, then 3:12, and then 4:16).

Partner Up

  • Partner Carry across parking lot (roughly 60 yards), switch and head back
  • Wheel Barrow across parking spaces, stopping every two lines to knock out 3 merkins, until you did 12.  Switch and head back.
  • Brokeback Merkins with laps – P1 does derkins with feet on P2’s planking back.  Switch and then run the parking lot loop in opposite directions to meet back at starting point (x2).
  • Partner Carry across parking lot (roughly 60 yards), switch and head back

Done with partner routines and broke up into 2 separate groups in the parking spaces.  Groups faced each other and everyone was on a parking space line.  We did the next exercises as a group with no rest.

  • 20 Sumo Squats then 12 Spider Steps (plank and bring right foot up to right hand, return to plank position and do other side).  2 rounds.
  • 12 Alternating Step Back Lunges (6 each leg) then 10 Twerkins (T Push-ups). 2 rounds.
  • 10 Mike Tysons then 25 LBCs.  Only one round because of time.
  • 8 Lateral Bear Crawl Push-ups (lateral bear crawl to parking line to the right and then do a pushup, return to the left, and so on) then 25 dips (on curb). Only one round because of time.

Moseyed on back to the tennis courts.  We were short on time for some Mary, but boy did we make the best of it.

This provided some laughter as thrust styles and tempos were being compared along with shortcomings.

  • Freaky Homer to Marge (10 with left leg up and then 10 with right leg up)

Midget-4-Life, who conveniently showed up the last exercise before Mary, requested Pickle Pounders after the excitement that Freaky Homer to Marge brought.

  • Pickle Pounders in cadence to 20.  After 15, we picked it up / double-timed it just to keep in the spirit of bedroom jokes that were coming out of our two Mary exercises.

  • Shout-out to an FNG this morning who was dubbed ‘Crop Duster’.
  • Blue Hen, Peak Weak, and Moby were running 22 miles in preparation for their Charleston full marathon in January.  Start time was 830am.  It appears that they were joined by Midget-4-Life, Jelly Bean, and some Sasquatch on a bike named Roger Roger

1 Timothy 1:15-16 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners –  of whom I am the worst.  But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

I led us on in prayer.

There was as brief F2 moment as Midget-4-Life brought donuts and coffee and Deadbolt popped the Yeti cooler to reveal some Bud Light.  Cheers!!!

It was a pleasure to lead you men this morning.  Love on your families and reflect as we celebrate the birth of our Savior this weekend.

Bernie….. out!
