I can’t believe I have been in F3 and associated with this motley group of men for one year now. It has been fun, looks to be even more fun for my next year, and, yes, I did the bull. Weather is a little crisp but what is to be expected for a fall morning outing. No FNGs so we head out.

Warm Up

Friendly run down the parking lot and then, stop, instructing PAX to grab a piece a curb for the first exercise quick feet, in cadence to warm up the calves. Run through the dark and back out to the street and circle up for the warm-up:

  • 10 Good Mornings
  • 15 SSH
  • 15 Hillbillies
  • 10 Cotton Pickers

The Thang

Finish with the warm-up and head up the street, mixing in some backwards runs and bear-crawls just to keep it interesting. Get to the main parking lot to big the first thang, 20-count karaoke 4-corners, starting with the first corner, CDDs, running mixed karaoke to star jumps, dying cockroaches, with last corner plank jacks, staying in plank hold for the rest of the PAX.

Recover and partner up for a dora 1-2-3, 100 merkins, 200 ninja (sumo) squats, 300 LBCs. Squat hold while waiting on the rest of the PAX to finish.  To celebrate the fastest merkins ever by Airbag, we perform 10 burpees. We need to head back to the other area so Q instructs PAX to line-up opposite their partner for indian run (aka double applesauce) to the rock pile.

PAX told to get a non-traveling, partner rock and gather back in the street. This time, P1 performs rock curls, OYO, IYH, AMRAP while P2 runs to the shelter, performs 10 dips and runs back, flap jack. Round 2, P1 performs rock presses while P2 runs to shelter for 10 chin-ups. Round 3 and 4 are variations of those.

Head over to the basketball court just as the 6:30 bell tolls.

COT

Count-a-rama: 18 PAX.

Announcements:

Toy Drive – the CarPEX Site Qs met and decided to conduct a toy drive under the umbrella of Operation Sweet Tooth. It is in honor of the Charlotte brother who’s daughter suddenly passed this year so he started a toy drive under her f3 name, Sweet Tooth  http://f3nation.com/2016/11/ 01/operation-sweet-tooth-is- in-full-gear-in-meca-and-we- need-your-help/

Toys we collect will be donated to the Marine Corps Toys-For-Tots program. Toys need to be new, still in the package, and unwrapped. Collection begins immediately at any CarPEX AO. Make it a goal to bring a toy to every AO!. The end date right now is Friday, December 16th. Note I am still confirming the last day they will accept toys so it may be the week before.

CarPEX Christmas Party – RipTide has a couple of dates in mind for December. Announcement to come soon. All I can tell you is that sleeves are optional.

Christmas Party Fundraiser – there will be a fundraiser associated with the Christmas party to benefit Levi Moore, the cousin of one of Khaki’s small group members whose wife and child tragically passed away just before or during child birth. Details will be provided soon after the party itself is announced.

News Year’s Eve Churham / CarPEX Convergence – On Saturday, 12/31 from 0700 to 0800, we are planning a convergence of chapel hill, Durham, Cary, and Apex at the normal site of Thin Blue Line (Old Chapel Hill Road Park off 15-501). We’re planning to have 4 Qs – one from each location. I volunteered to be one, so we need one more from CarPEX, preferably someone from Apex but it doesn’t really matter. Stank Tank details to follow. Would love for this to be a strong showing of 30-40 from CarPEX.

It was an honor to lead you men this morning.
