YHC decided a fleet of cinderblocks would provide some diversity to the workout. Numbers were down on this wonderfully cool morning now that the 6 pack incentive has subsided but we still had 15 PAX. After a warmup lap:

20 x SSH, 10 x cotton picker, 10 x Willie Mays Hays, Arm Circles, 15 x Mtn Climbers, 10 x Merkins

The Thang:

Tabata to start: 20 seconds sprint, 10 seconds rest, 20 seconds burpees, 10 seconds rest; Repeat that about 5 times

circle up for 20 mtn climbers and 5 merkins, repeat over and over for 3 minutes – no rest from the plank makes 3 minutes seem very long

Partner up and line up for some cinderblock work:

first guy runs a suicide across two fields (1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full) while the other PAX does 10 cinderblock presses, runs across one field with his block, does 5 burpees, runs back with the block and does 10 more presses; partners switch

first guy runs a lap around all fields while the other guy walks across one field and back with the cinderblock above his head

repeat first partner exchange with suicide and presses/cinderblock run

COT: Honey mentioned that he hopes to schedule a guest speaker at the end of Sept or into October.   Speaker is a local friend who has ALS and delivers an uplifting approach to life. Also, Ram Air reminded us of the pig pickin’ to benefit the Lineberger Cancer Center on Oct 10.
