AO: Anchor Time
Workout Date: 06/23/21
I’m heading into the back nine with Raleigh workouts on my personal Q challenge, and I have been putting off some of the more intense run-based (infused?) workouts. First up, Anchor Time. The F3 Raleigh website lists Anchor Time as a standard boot camp, but I posted a couple of times a couple of years ago and got the distinct impression AT is a high tempo workout. Maybe it’s just that hill on Fairview. I’d aim for high tempo just to be safe.

Warm Up:
State the mission, check for FNGs (I know everyone, so obviously zero), and give the disclaimer
Side Straddle Hop x20 In Cadence (IC)
Good Morning x6 IC
Imperial Walker x10 IC
Sir Fazio Arm Circles forward x5 IC, reverse x5 IC

Main Event
1) Mosey down Fairview to Knox. Sevens between Knox and Victoria. Start with six Squats at Knox and one Star Jump at Victoria. Finish at Victoria. Mosey back up Fairview.
2) Mosey up Oberlin and around White Memorial on Colonial to McDonald Lane. Sevens between Colonial and the third building sign on the right. Start with six WW1s at Colonial and one Burpee at the sign. Finish at the sign, although Bigglesworth and Motorboater were so into it and a little ahead that they did another lap back to Colonial.
3) Mosey down Oberlin to the first bus stop at Oberlin Middle. Sevens between the bus stop and the curb outcropping near the bus loop entrance. Start with six Hand-Release Merkins (Cobains to shirtless Bigglesworth) at the bus stop and one Four-count American Hammer at the curb. Finish at the curb. Head back to start for COT.

Naked Moleskin:
I was racking my brain trying to figure out what to do for this workout. There was much relief when I finally settled on running out from the hub for sevens at each endpoint. I had initially planned for a fourth route toward Five Points, but we were plenty busy.
It was an intimate crowd but I really enjoyed it. Coffeeteria with Bigglesworth was icing on the cake.

F3 is all about pushing each other. It’s one thing to say Iron Sharpens Iron. It’s another to feel it. I was dreading the hill on Fairview, so I had to start with it. I’m also still annoyed with my Q at Slippery When Wet, so getting more comfortable with high tempo has been nice. Once I figured out to avoid exercises like Dora where half the PAX (or more) are in one place for an extended time, I was pretty happy with myself.

This was my sixty-sixth #F3Q21 #2021Challenge Q (sixty-eighth overall). Next Q is Friday at Boiler Room.
