6 showed up for EC and 22 for the main event at Rameses on a thick, humid morning. Several PAX are signed up for the GoRuck Heavy in September so they decided to leave their rucks on for the main event to train for the Heavy. YHC had a workout planned for some fieldwork but 12 hours of rain yesterday meant there had to be a new plan. I didn’t plan it this way but I don’t think I could have made a more ruck unfriendly workout if I tried. TClaps to those who kept the ruck on – Blindside, Alfalfa and Te’O.

The Thang:
Head to bottom of Tarheel warrior mountain and sprint to the top of the parking lot. Break out the phone and speaker and circle up for Thunderstruck merkins.
Head to tennis courts:
run through 4th court and 15 burpees, return
run through 3rd court and 10 burpees, return
run through 2nd court and 5 burpees, return
recovery bear crawl through 3rd court
run through 4th court and 20 jump squats, return
run through 3rd court and 15 jump squats, return
run through 2nd court and 10 jump squats, return

Head back up to top of parking lot for some more DJ’ing – a little Roxanne by the Police. Side shuffle hops throughout and do a burpee every time they say Roxanne.
Head to bottom of mountain and run to the top one more time
