Hard to believe it’s been two years since I started posting with you fine men. My first post I was the one who splashed merlot off the fourth story of the Kenan Stadium parking deck. Not one of my prouder moments. To celebrate 16 men came out on a beautiful Carolina morning to get stronger. With one FNG in tow a strongly worded disclaimer was given and we were off.

The Thang
Run around the back of the school and what’s that??? A big pile of rocks!!! When did they get here??? No idea but it’s great to have them. Every man grab a rock heavy enough to give you a strong workout. Run to the halfwall. With rock in hand 20 right leg cadence count step ups. 20 left leg cadence count step ups. Then run your rock over to the field.

Six cones set up on the field, two rows with three in each line 20 yards apart. The men spread out among the cones and starting from your cone run to the next cone drop your rock and run around all six cones. When back at your rock do five merkins and five full body presses with the rock. Bring the rock to the next cone run around the cones and repeat until you are back at your original cone. Hold the rock over the head when complete until everyone finishes. Run in the other direction but at each cone five WWIIs and 10 overhead presses with your rock.

Line up on the sideline and spread out the length of the field so no one gets hurt. From your knees throw your rock as far as you can towards the other sideline. Bear crawl to get your rock. Do a merkin before picking it up. Stay on your knees and throw it again until you reach the other side. Pick up your rock and sprint back. Hold your rock in a low squat hold until everyone is back. At this point Rudy noted that we were chewing up the field so we did it one more time except you throw your rock standing up and run to it and do two burpees before you throw it again.

Wanting to be respectful of our AO we left the field and took the rocks back to the pile. The men low plank hold on the halfwall until all rocks are back. On the halfwall dips x30, derkins x10, dips x20, derkins x10. dips x20, derkins x10. Then head back for Mary
