THE THANG
Gather at the top of the parking lot, looking down a big grassy median, with a nice hill. Aaahh, perfect for 11s. Run down hill for burpees, run backwards back up the hill for curb derkins.
After that painful excursion, Floppy disk complained about his nipples hurting, so we drop for a round of nipples to help ease the pain. Back up and find a partner for 100/200/100/200. Parter one runs around parking lot while Partner 2 does AMRAP of exercises then flapjack until finish 100 merkins, 200 LBCs 100 Carolina Dry Docks and 200 dying cockroaches. Someone mentioned during the run that hill was good for bear crawls, so find your partner and gather back to the top of the hill. Partner 1 run down hill, bear crawl back up while parter 2 planks, flap jack, repeato 3 times. Recover on the jog to the football field. Burpee broad jump the width of the field, then people’s chair until Nails finishes performing the textbook form of burpees and broad jumps…well done sir.

MOLESKIN
After running up the hill backwards 11 times, Tinkertoy remarked “We’re only made to go forward.” Based on the way my legs were burning I agreed – hence the name of the workout. YHC shared the thought for the day- Focus on what you can control. I had the pleasure of coaching my son’s 12 year basketball team this spring. Great group of your men, but not many good basketball players. When the boys would get frustrated by playing guys that look like Lebron James, or get mad at the refs or get down after missing a layup, my mantra all season was to don’t worry about things you can’t control – focus on what you can control. You can’t control the other team, or the refs, but you can control how hard you play and how you act on the court. That lesson applies to us grown men as well. Focus on yourself —how you treat others, how you react to your kids, wife, etc Focus on encouraging those around you. Focus on moving forward.

Honor and privileged to lead, thanks for pushing me gentlemen.
