11 Pax showed for the launch of North Raleigh’s newest AO Detention and it was a burner.   Since football season is upon us we did pay homage to a UNC great Charlie Choo Choo Justice – but it was not well received.  He was #22…

No FNG’s so after a short disclaimer we were off.

THE THANG

Flag run down Strickland and onto the track for one lap and onto the field.

Warm up with SSH X 20, IW X 20, Good morning X 10, and mtn climbers X 20.

In honor of Choo Choo we did a set of 22’s – burpees and WW2’s.  (He did play football right around then…).  YHC had never done 22’s so thought, “why not”?  It was brutal, but at the end of it we all did 110 burpees and about 130 WW2’s.

Next partner carry to the end of the field, flap jack and come back.

Wheel barrow to the other end, flap jack and come back.

Bear crawl to end, 20 partner hand slap merkins, crab walk back.

To the rock pile for curls, overhead press, tricep extensions, and bent over rows all in cadence X 10.

Back to the field for a plank wave (all in plank, leader goes to low plank, next in line follows around the circle until back to the leader and then leader goes to regular plank).  We did this through a wonderful tune – 300 Violin Orchestra.  It was inspirational, YHC dropped a tear, (maybe from pain).

Finally, Superstar took us out with 50 American Hammers.

YHC reminded the men that we need not worry in day to day life about the little things that can bog us down, but trust in the Lord who fed 5,000 with 5 loaves and two fish…He is providing for us.

Thank you to all who have shown support and shown up, and we have q’s through October!  Look forward to good times to come at DETENTION!
