It’s September 1st.  College football is officially back so 7 Pax showed up to celebrate with me, I guess.  Epoxy was nervous that YHC might repeat a Glen Eden lightpole-style workout we did back in May.  But he was right; nobody likes a repeat of a previous Q so I’ll save it for another day.  Here’s what we did instead:

WarmUp:

SSH x 25 — Good Morning X 15 — Fazio Circles X 10 each direction — 5 burpees OYO — maybe something else but I can’t remember

THANG:

Partner up and mosey down the trail to Glen Eden, turn Right and stop at Parklake Ave…

— Burpee Partner Chase to the courtyard in front of the office buildings (3 burpees, catch your partner, flapjack etc..)

— At courtyard fountain: Partner 1 does called exercise on wall, Partner 2 does AMRAP WWIIs,  flapjack; Wall exercises were: L/R step ups X 20 — Irkins X 20, Dirkins X 20 — Dips X 30 — Squats X 30

— Burpee Partner Chase back to Glen Eden (then stop for a real long squat hold b/c Mr. Slate’s partner chase pace is quick and YHC is pretty gassed…)

— Stop at trail for: Freddy Mercuries X 15 — Plank X 70 and Chilcut X 70 (each Pax with 10 count)

— Mosey back to soccer field: Partner 1 bear crawl to other end, run back while Partner 2 AMRAPs LBCs, flapjack  — Gasser sprint (down, back, down, back) — circle up for Mary

— Mary: Low Slow Flutter X 25 — Homer to Marge X 20 — L/R hammy stretch X 12 each leg — Have a Nice Day

COT:

Announcements: Labor Day convergence at Pullen Park — 9/11 stair climb coming up

Prayers:

Dingo’s friend is still recovering from a head injury and is having another surgery, but definitely sounds like progress over the last few months!

A friend of Mr. Slate who had a medical practice died suddenly of a heart attack.  Prayers for the family.

A community member of Orwell’s church passed away tragically.

Epoxy’s family, that the docs can pinpoint the medical troubles of his mother-in-law and get everyone on their way to normalcy.

Tecumseh took us out really strong.  Reminded us of the important things, our freedoms, and most importantly where we get it from.  Thanks brother.

Great group this morning.  Thanks for pushing me!  Until next time….
