YHC always checks the forecast the night before the Q.  And this is A-Team so no surprise it was 0% chance of rain from 12am to 5am then 85% chance from 5am to 7am then back to 0 percent (a little hyperbole for dramtic affect).  I get up at my normal 4th snooze alarm, 5:08AM and it sounds like it’s hailing golfballs…oh great, gimme shelter.  Gotta rework some things in my head, prepare some audibles to keep the PAX dry.

If you’re reading this from outside of Carpex just know if you get these guys too wet they must melt or something.  They act like rain equals water, water equals waterboarding, I don’t know, maybe they all fell in a pool when they were young and they now go to counseling over their fear of water, who knows, who knows…

Anywho I get in the car to a light drizzle, drive .08 miles to pick up ma bro Open Out and headed on in to A-Team.

No rain.

So now I’m back to the original plan.  Of course the numbers are huge (27), I mean we are Carpex.  We have number issues everyday of the week so this is no different.  Awesome to see Braveheart get to join us again.  #teacherworkday = #fathersonbeatdownday

No FNGs so we’re off into the park…

Warm Up

– The Shutty Signature*:
10 Good Mornings
15 Hillbillys
20 SSH
25 Merkins

* I actually threw in 8 “Nature Boys” after the SSH.  I know we all wanted to try it, we see it every week!  I may have to submit it to the exicon now…

The Thang
Because rain was forecasted I wanted to hit the shelter.  We had a full length run in to the shelter where we counted off in 1s and 2s to complete the following:

1s an exercise AMRAP
2s run a lap around the loop

Exercises were:  Derkins, Pickle Pounders, Urkins, something else and something else….  Ok ok i know this is why BBs should get written sooner, my bad.  Been a crazy week with no downtime to write this.  I don’t even have time now, to be honest.  So get off my back and let me finish this.  I gotta get back to work!!

OK, so no rain, awesome!  We can do what i wanted to do originally…head to the tennis courts.  YHC headed early to make sure we could get in.  By the time i checked the gate the rain started coming down.  It was too late, though.  Guys were headed my way, 27 or 28 of them to be exactish.  So lets get wet….

Same 1s and 2s although confusion over that stirred the PAX chatter.

1s on the fence
2s move to the net and back doing exercises
Flapjack

We did:
Fence:  1. People’s Chair  2. Squats  3. BTTW  4. People’s Chair
Net:  1. Bear crawl (10 CDDs)  2. Lunge walk down and back  3. Bear crawl  4. Lunge walk

^ This was where most of the panic set in with being wet, wet hands, blah blah blah.  I’m telling you I was this close to some Mary puddles but I played nice(ish)

Alright time to head out of the park but let’s stop at the bottom of the hill.

1s – Run up to speed bump and back
2s – Burpees OYO
Flapjack

I was gased so I hope the rest of you were as well.  We got back to COT with time to spare.  Again, no one wants to get wet so lets do 20 sumo squats with a jump knee tuck combo action.

OK, NOW I’m gased.  Count off for a standing COT.  Somehow we ended up with a miscount.  I have 27 names, if you were number 28 I apologize for missing you!

Loved leading.  I am starting to miss it now that I’m barely once a week 🙁

We need more AOs…

Happy Friday

Peace Out
