Another strong showing of 32 Pax and the rumors of the fun bags were proven true this a.m. YHC had never taken them out of his car from Monday at North Hills…Baby Farley and Swirly posted then as well as this morning. Yoda led the charge in what would normally be called mumble chatter, but this was more a cross between motivational screaming and Pax brotherhood instigation. Either way it was appreciated and brought strength to the morning…nice work Jedi master.
The Thang:
As the clock rolled closer to start, we kicked off the warm up early. World’s Greatest Stretch, a few static holds, SSH x 20, IW x 20…done and let’s get to it. a quick run to the car and open the liftgate for the funbags. There were 10 teams of 3 and YHC and Costco manned up together and since there were only 10 funbags, we got stuck with the 75lb. Tubesteak. Off we go to the loading dock for a three piece exercise. One man takes the fun bag up the hill, down the stairs and up the incline to the loading dock while another runs the parking lot and back…the third is doing burpees. fb makes the loop, then switch places. Do these for a few rounds and then change direction with the fb to now go up the stairs instead of down. Do this a few rounds to burn energy and clock. Once we had done enough sets, move onto a three man circle of squats. One takes the fun bag and does prisoner squat and then tosses to the man on right. Burn out for 20. then on your six. hold the bag up with locked arms and rattled of 10 LBC’s, give to partner who is waiting in held boat position. This goes on for multiple rounds. At this point Yoda is on full tilt…voice at higher decibel and hater game raised to A.
After this we have a round of one team member racing to the end of the lot with the now intimately known funbag while the rest stay behind and do burpees. Done when all have raced the lot. Time is all but spent although still enough to grab some merry. Again the work was simple, but effective. No fancy needed here just good old beat you down and pick you back up.
Merry: Two rounds of this all with locked arm funbag: 10x flutter kick – pass the fb, 10x boxcutter – pass the fb, protracter. repeato with 20 count instead of 10. Done. Good work by all Pax this morning…
COT: two new FNGs, welcome 57 (named for last name of Heinz) and Oswald (brother of Orwell). Again there was a tabled discussion over Gaylord’s name…Countrywide led the nope side and Gaylord needs to take it with a higher up or deal. Healing Place anniversary for a few members there. reach out to Countrywide for details to show support and get involved. Peach Pit asks for used sneakers that any Pax have lying around to be brought to Late Night for his collection Friday. It is obviously for a good cause so check your closet. BRR, 9/11 climb and Spartan mentions once more.
Costco sent prayers to friend and coworker who was killed. Peach Pit took us out.
