After an absolutely hellacious weekend of travel and getting in late I knew that Q’ing a strong group of men was going to be a challenge. But with the weather finally feeling great it was time to rally. In setting up the cones on the beautiful, dew soaked and well manicured field at the Thicket it occurred to me that since the site Qs at the Thicket had to cancel the Churham pool party at the last minute that the PAX should get the wet Brier Chapel experience so I headed to the parking lot to grab the men.
Warmup
Jog down to the field and circle up

Hand release merkins

The Thang
Line up at the end of the field for an indian run around the soccer field always facing the far end. So the men go forward down one side, karaoke left on the next, run backwards back and then karaoke right back to the beginning. We got in three solid laps.
Back to the school and partner up. Wheelbarrow around the dropoff circle and every time you switch both do 3 burpees.
Once back in front of the school each partner heads in a different direction around the circle. When you meet your partner do (6) six merkin burpees then run back around the other way to meet up again and do (5) five merkin burpees until you are just doing “a burpee”.
Next a bear hunt…one partner runs one way on the circle while the other partner bear crawls the other way. When the runner meets the bear pick him up and partner carry them back. Then switch. Then do this three times.
Finally Usain Bolts where each pair of partners runs the circle while the rest of the PAX do the called exercise (CCDs, dips, merkins, WWIIs).
Mosey back to the field grab the cones…anyone with a cone calls an exercise for Mary.

Next week is a special one hour Labor Day Thicket with the promise of “things you’ve never done at F3 before”. I assume one of them is attend a pool party.
Thanks for the opportunity to lead guys…it was an honor.
