In anticipation of Snowmageddon ’17, the Site Q, announced the night before there would be no Phoenix. No problem, we’ll just turn it into a CSAUP opportunity. 2 PAX defied the Site Q and weathermen who predicted 8-12″ of snow and ice. Anyway, off we go. Here’s what we did:

Warm-up

Grab disk sled from the truck and run to the top of the hill overlooking the famed dale for

The Thang

Run carefully down the side of the path, past the kiosk. Noticing what looked like ponds of water in the dale, we decided to stay on the high ground and continued on the path toward the dam. Time to use the sled. Partner up – size doesn’t matter. P1 get on the sled, P2 pushes partner up the rise to the top, run back down and flap jack. And repeato. Stash the sled and continue to spillway. Gross. What is that yellow-brown water coming out of that pipe? No matter, grab a rock. We travelin’ for some 11s – 4-count curls at the spillway; 4-count tricep extensions near the base of the steps. Ma Bell called an audible midway through for a continuous round of Mary. No recovery in between sets of

After completing the 11s and replacing the rocks, run back to the kiosk for some variation of mucho chesto – standard merkins, diamond merkins, right offset merkins, left offset merkins, hand release merkins. Arms sufficiently smoked and out of ideas, Ma Bell turned the cluster Q over to Callahan.

Time to work the legs. Set of dual-exercise 7s between the kiosk and next set of poles toward the boat dock – ascending numbers of sumo jump squats and lunge squats on both ends until we reach 7. Ending at the boat dock, the trip back had to be done via a combination of crab walk, bear crawl and lunge walks. Try doing that on ice with slick snow gloves #dicey

Run to top of hill for some more Mary

  • Well, it had to be done. 5 Snow bropees

Run back to the senior center and finish it off with 10 snowpees OYO
