Quite the shift from YHC’s normal MO, I was early.  I joined the other PAX waiting in the warmth of my whip till just a few short minutes before the Late Night 6am start time.  Having determined we had an FNG in toe, YHC actually gave a reasonable disclaimer, looked to the darkness of the greenway and made the call to hit the streets.

The Thang:

Jog to anderson and up towards Six Forks, ducking behind the ENT building where we would find our firsr COP, Warmups.  SSH x 15, Good Mornings x 15, Imperial Walkers x 15, Sir Fazio Arm Circles x 10 e/w.

Find a spot on the curb for quick feet x 15, Erkins x 15, & repeat, and a light plank-o-rama R&R out to Six Forks and down towards the shopping mecca known as Kroger.  On our way down YHC notices what he assumed to be a Sad Clown out on a 28 degree morn for a jog, informs Shoe he would be inviting him to join us, only to realize it was Gnobby looking for the pax as his fart sack made him a little late for Late Night.

With our full accompaniment of 20 PAX we continued to the base of the Kroger lot for a set of 6’s, Burpies at the bottom and Merkins at the top, squat hold when your done.  Back to a quick R&R to the next building, find a spot on the wall beside Dollar Tree for Peoples chair, 2 PAX at a time run down the lot around an island and back, then two more go, YHC called a section of BTW for a few cycles then back to Peoples Chair.

R&R through the lot to Wake Forest Road, head south over the greenway to the car dealer lot beside Mamie Nora’s for another COP, LBC pyramid to 25 & back, Standard Merkins x 10, R&R.

Down Noble to Kiwanis Park to the picnic shelter for L/R Step Ups x 15 & Dips x 15, repeato x 10, back to the jog.

As YHC came past the last field before the greenway and realized we still had a little time, we lunge walked the first bridge and found our way across the next for a little more work.  Carolina Dry Docks x 15 and an extended Plank-o-rama, from Chilcut to regular for several 10 counts through 8 of the PAX.

Back towards our starting for one last item on the agenda, 10 Burpies OYO, DONE!

COT:

The Skin:  Nice work today, you wouldn’t know it from the amount we did today, YHC despises running, but with a break every so often it’s bearable.  Reminiscent of the rest we receive from God from the everyday trials, just a little reprieve will pull us through some of the toughest times. Several new faces YHC didn’t recognize, though I didn’t mean to introduce myself to Velvet who YHC sees multiple time throughout the week.  Great to have White Shoe back in the mix, fancy shoes too. Though when called on for input in the FNG naming insisted in a girls name, we opted for her cohort Forest.  YHC discussed Romans 12:1-2 with the PAX.  That offering our bodies as living sacrifices holy & pleasing to God translates well into the gloom, that God desires our all, and that giving our all is also a witness to the world of the grace and mercy of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.  As always, if you don’t know Him personally, ask one of your F3 brothers that does, He lived the life we couldn’t, died the death we deserved, and God raised Him to life so that we too can rise with Him.  A great time of the year to give your life to Him when we celebrate His birth.

Arena today at 2:30 at The Healing Place on Goode St. or meet Epoxy & I at Pullen at 2:10 for a run over.  Christmas Party the 22nd at Tyler’s at Seaboard, RSVP on the website somewhere.

As always thanks for letting me lead, I never would have imagined leading a group of men in a workout, much less with such a running component, honored to run beside you all.  Aye!
