7 PAX posted for a Tobacco Road arm-fest, many on a post-Duke defeat depression. Of note, Chachi didn’t manage to make it in after doing his UNC vs Duke themed Mary yesterday and Riggs failed to show and managed his 2nd fartsack in a row.

Prior to the beatdown, 3 PAX (T’eo, Cardiac, Floyd) went for a little Extra Credit Ruck on the Tobacco trail including Ruck pull-ups, regular pull-ups, overhead presses, and Top Guns (we were inverted). Repeato. Then, run to Chatham county and back.

Tobacco Road
The EC PAX met up with the rest.

Warm-up
SSH x 20
Willie Mays Hayes x 10
Mountain climbers x 20
Merkins x 20
LBAC x 10

Go to rock pile and get a “medium” rock. Go back to cars and get a ruck. We had 6 rucks for 7 PAX so there was a trade-off at times.

The THANG
Walk with rucks and rocks to the Tobacco Trail. There were overhead holds, overhead presses, and bicep curls while walking there.

Once at the trail, line up and then do the Ruck-wearing, Rock-holding, walking lunge indian run for approximately 1/4 mile (until the intersection at Scott King). Cross the road and mosey down to the Eagle Scout exercise equipment.

Drop your ruck and rock. Time for circuit training.
10 Pull-ups
20 Rows
20 Dips
20 Leg-raises on the inclined bench
20 Irkins
20 Derkins
Run 75 yards and back
Repeato

It is at this point that I should describe the 100 yard run. It is very dark on the Tobacco Trail at 5:45am. To help aid our PAX visually, I had dropped 3 orange glow sticks approximately 75 yards down the trail with the intention that the PAX runs to the glow sticks, turn around and runs back. Amphibious went first. You all know how long it takes to run 75 yards and back. Anyway after 3 or 4 minutes, Amphibious had not returned and we started to worry. Had he been injured? Absconded? Shot by Chachi? Anyway, he eventually returned, admitting that he had seen the glow sticks, thought they were reflectors and kept running. and running. and running. No PAX lost their lives in the making or retelling of this story.

Once 2 circuits were completed, we ruck/rock walked back to the start. Along the way, there were overhead rock holds, bicep curls, side shuffles, etc.
