Tropical Depression Ana had rained on the site before 11 PAX “braved the elements” to join me for a little Eastbound and Down. Afterwards we were soaking wet and completely gassed (I was at least). The old joke goes that tropical storms and hurricanes are named after women because they start out all wet and wild, but afterwards they take your house and car. I’d argue that this joke is mildly inappropriate and also kind of irrelevant to this morning’s workout. But it’s not a bad joke.

The Thang

Jogged over to the metal benches by the pond and partner up. Partner 1 runs down the path to the street, all the way to the hill that is the main entrance to the park, up the hill to the parking lot and back over to partner 2. Partner 2 was busy doing 25 irkens, 25 derkens, and 25 alternating left right step up. Switch and once both partners had been, plank it out. Once everyone was back, this was repeated but while Partner 1 ran, Partner 2 did 25 merkens, 25 American Hammers, and 25 prisoner squats. Switch and once both partners had been, American Hammer until everyone was back.

Run over to the tennis courts for the beast. Wide Grip Merkens, LBCs, Monkey Humpers, Star Jumps, Plank Jacks, and burpees with people’s chair and balls to the wall in between.

Run back to the main lot and circle up for mary. LBC pyramid up by 5’s to 25 and back down, holding on 5. 30 dying cock roaches, 30 low slow flutters and then 25 american hammers.
