YHC had to do a double take as he pulled into Pullen this morning, the amount of vehicles was more reminiscent of a Saturday work out, this was mainly due to the pre Rucker’s tromping through the gloom as the rest of the PAX arrived. The total ended up at 30, though I’m not sure of the split, I would say it was pretty close to 50/50.
YHC gave his disclaimer about not being a professional or having much of an idea of what we were going to do, and for those who choose to follow, to do so at their own risk, we were off.
The Thang:
Jog around the lake and back to the grass in front of the stage for warm ups; SSHx15, Good Mornings x 15, Fazio Arm Circles x 10 b/w, IW’s x 15, Windmills x 15.
Head to the upper round picnic area, due to men with rucks on the stairs, take the scenic route by the Caboose through the garden and up the back stairs. L/R Step Ups x 15, Dips x 15, Erkins x 15, Repeto.
Head to the courts for some suicides, as we got to the courts, the remaining pax minus their rucks found us, so YHC called a new play, interval runs with burpies and merkins in-between each court, 1,2,3, & 4, then sprint back while 1/2 pax did peoples chair with high arms, flip flop. Next run with merkins, 2,4,6,8, & sprint back while other group does BTW. Do again and increase burpies to 2,4,6, & 8, while other group does peoples chair. Back to merkins, 4,8,12, &16 while other group has a little plank-o-rama.
Head and grab a rock, still amazes me some of the rocks guys grab when you know you’re going to have to pass them, 2 sets of curls, squat presses, and extensions, passing the rock between each set. Put the rocks back and head to the lake by way of the high bridge and stairs.
Lunge walk across first bridge, bear crawl around gazebo, lunge walk across next bridge, make your way to the stairs along far side of lake for quick feet x 15 and erkins x 15, repeto.
Jog back to the grass in front of stage for Mary; LBC x 25, Homer to Marge x 15, 6 inch leg hold 3 count around circle, done.
COT: Reminder of the sacrifice of our Lord & Savior at Easter, therefor strengthen your bodies as a witness for Him. Also reflected on the statements of two Q’s this weekend in reference to Freed2Leed, “the easy things are really hard, and the hard things are usually the most rewarding.” Embrace the suck, and encourage brothers to do the same and be changed for it.
Prayers for Who at the loss of his dad, Howard led us out in a BOM.
PAX of 30, I know I missed a few, chime in if you were one of them.
