The PAX were arriving late, in Raleigh 5:45 is just early. Mid 70’s and very high humidity.

As we headed off in the gloom we all kept a tight pace.  The run starts out easy so there is great opportunity for the PAX to chat until conversation dwindles and the hill climbs start.  We have 2 meetup points to allow for catchup (of the PAX and Oxygen).  Unfortunately the PAX is running tighter and the meetup points are serving less of a purpose.

Last week we hit a 46:30 run time, Today we hit a 46:00.  Fartsack hill is really a beast, but we are all getting better at it.  For the record, just that hill alone is 134 ft elevation gain in about half a mile.

  • I’m still in awe of Magic Goggles who kick/stepped a fly out of midair and squashed it. Very ninja impressive.

  • The whole point of eat your protein was that we had to fight off these massive horse flies the entire run. Always fun to add that to the mix.
