10 men came out on a chilly morning to take a tour of Chapel Hill’s newest AO. While officially a “soft launch” it was great to see the enthusiasm for the new site. Culbreth Middle School has a ton of fun places to work up a sweat and it was YHC’s job to give them a tour. Plus since it was really cold keeping the PAX moving was job #1. After unloading some heavy logs from the car everybody grabbed their favorite one and we were off.

Grab your “log” and run up to the track. Get in a quick 200. Get in another quick 200. Grab your log and do 10 squat/overhead press combos. Now take your log on a 200. Stop and do another squat/overhead press combo. Run 100 with your log and then throw it in a pile for future Qs.

Time to leave the AO and head into Southern Village. After a meandering trip down Hillspring we stopped at the bottom and had to make our way up the steep hill. Fortunately it is a beautiful tree lined road so we stopped at every tree on the way up to grab a little exercise. 5 merkins, 10 merkins, 15 merkins, 20 merkins, 25 merkins, 25 squats, 20 squats, 15 merkins, 10 merkins, 5 merkins. Time to run back the AO.

Walking lunges down the entrance to the school, run along Culbreth Road and then sprint up the back entrance to the school. Mosey to the back of the school for a 10 count People’s Chair. Mosey back up top to a whole lot of picnic tables, perfect for 20 dips.
