After 5 did a short pre-run down the treacherous path, YHC decided we should do it again. There were slips, swamp gas, mumble-chatter, and a good workout by all. Surprising, though, that there was still ice on the ground after a few days of warm weather!
WARM UP
SSH X 20
Merkins X 25
Good Morning X 10
THE THANG
Lined up for an Indian Run down the greenway to Detention. We stopped along the way several times for Merkins, Monkey Humpers, Balls to the Wall, LBC’s, and the like. Was somewhat challenging keeping the group together as some were very anxious to get there and others like to observe nature along the way. All made it there and back, and we enjoyed the warmer temperatures. 3 miles in all not counting those who did the pre-run. About 200 Merkins, 200 Monkey Humpers, 50 LBC’s, 25 Freddy Mercuries etc, etc…
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Pygmy reminded us that there will be a Christmas party later this year…keep an eye out for that. Trivia Night at Chow this Wednesday at 8. All pax welcomed.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Prayers for Dink’s son working his way up in the military. Also, Dink is taking a European vacation for 5 months (so jealous).
YHC shared a bit from Psalm 46 which reminds us that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the sea.” He is there with us through any struggle we face today. Lean on Him.
Mole Skin
Always a pleasure to lead the pax and I would especially commend Petting Zoo to those who haven’t been there. It’s a great AO and lots of good places to workout. Of course, you could simply take the pax off property like YHC did and that works too! Secondly, if ever in a tunnel with Superstar, don’t think you’re safe. The pax felt his wrath this morning…someone said, “Did someone eat chili?” Turns out he did…beware.
