“How about we just run up to Caribou, have coffee, and run back?” – Wilson

That’s how this morning started. Epoxy was in agreement. Overdraft didn’t object. I could be convinced…but, alas, there was a gaggle of Pax milling about. They came for more than coffee. Let’s see how quickly we can get this over with.

No FNGs. Welcome to Buubs from Richmond (yes, like Boobs, but with two u’s). YHC provided my go to, short disclaimer, “Push yourself, don’t hurt yourself.” And, follow me.

Warm Up
We ran around the lot one time, with YHC contemplating the numerous parking lights that were out. What’s up with that? “AO has gone to shit.” responded a Pax in half jest. Well, construction should be done sometime in our lifetime and then it will be the bomb. Circle up in the one pool of light afford us.

An Unexpected Journey
Run down the trail. Wet fields abound. Soaked, saturated, grass-covered swamps. Hate to destroy the only thing not being worked on. So continue down the trail to Glen Eden. And…partner up.
Partner Carry up to Edwards Mill, switching as needed.
Holy cow that was a lot further than I remember. Fortunately YHC was partnered with my Sigma Chi bother Peach Pit who has been in a heated dieting challenge with Countrywide…oh, wait…nevermind. Unfortunately for our guest from Roanoke, Buubs (you know, sounds like Boobs, but with…), he was partnered with the Captain. This is not a task taken lightly, and Buubs stepped up to the challenge. Much respect. Meanwhile, the rest of the Pax fell into their typical high-level discussion of, well boobs. More specifically who was holding who’s during the Partner Carry, and so and so forth.
To celebrate, next exercise, Nipplers (for Buubs).
Enough chitchat…Cross EM and gather at entrance to Avalon neighborhood.

Avalon Loops, Quietly
Squat hold for instructions. Keep your mumble to a mumble (easier said than done, right Dutch Boy?) Run the road around the hood with 5 stops for descending reps of 25, 20, 15, 10, 5 as you go.
Lap 1: Sumo Squat Jumps
Lap 2: LBCs
Lap 3: Standard Merkins
Mayhem and Dingo were out front, crushing it. Way to represent, Site Qs.

Return to the Surf
With time running out, we ran back up to Edwards Mill. Lots of traffic and a woman walking her dog… so, Monkey Humpers for our audience. Then frogger across and jog back into the park. Circle up in our lonely pool of light.

Mary
Only a few minutes left, so an old favorite was called.
2 Pax call an exercise for the rest, then run to the rail for 10 Decline Merkins.
Exercises called were:  Dying Cockroaches, LBCs, Box Cutters, WWIIs, Chillcut Hold, American Hammers, Low-Slow Flutters, and Penguin Crunches (courtesy of Buubs and F3 Roanoke). This last one had to be demonstrated by our brother from VA. Looks simple and silly, but actually…not bad.
Finish by doing x15 reps of the exercise you called.
