Well, it’s not running and beer (see Shaggy’s Kilt Run post), but it’s a close 2nd to me.  The 10th Annual Krispy Kreme Challenge will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 8:30am.  The run, benefitting the NC Children’s Hospital, consists of a 2.5 mile run from NC State’s Belltower to Krispy Kreme where you and/or your team consume 12 doughnuts and then run 2.5 miles back to the Belltower.  I’ve trained for years for half of this event, now I just hope I can run the 5 miles!

We’re hoping to have a large F3 contingent that can meet / start the race together and represent the F3 Nation in this fun event.  007 and I will serve as site Qs for the event and will provide more details on a meeting place as the event gets closer.  For now, keep these in mind:

-It’s for charity so why wouldn’t you support kids and come out for fellowship with F3 brothers

-They cap the run at 8,100 so sign up soon to avoid being shut out.  Link for more information and registration is: http://www.krispykremechallenge.com

-Listed as #1 Thing to do at NC State.  See http://students.ncsu.edu/top54/  Do check out some of the other things they think you need to do….sure to be more fun than petting a cow or rubbing a professor’s head, but I digress.

Check my twitter feed @94Heel for more details.  Thus far we’ve got commits from Gnard Dogg, Shaggy, Epoxy, 007, and Wendell G.  Let me know if I’ve forgotten you.

  • Here’s to my 8th running of the KKC. This year I can enjoy not having the smell of doughnuts lingering in my beard. I’m in.

  • I’d like to see more of you Wolf Run/High Fidelity PABs put your fancy prancing to use in this true test of intestinal fortitude. (but please don’t wear your pink shoes, sweat bands, and short shorts)
