Monday was a hot one – 80 degrees and humid – so the Pax went back to basics.
Around Jaycee Park and up the stairs to the office parking lot for warm-up.
SSH X 25
Merkins X 20
Good Mornings X 10
Imperial Walkers X 15
Plank Jacks X 20
Run to Cameron Village. Stop at every cross street for five merkins. There are lots of cross streets, FYI.
Split up into two groups. First group sprints down and back while group two does an AMRAP exercise. First round it is CDDs. Second round is boat/canoe. Third trip is Freddy Mercury. This took a little longer than expected so we start the trip back toward Wade Ave. Still five merkins per cross street and still lots of those.
Stop at the parking deck on Oberlin. Descend to the bottom level and then merkin chase up to the top.
Back down and back to Jaycee Park for less than two minutes of Mary, which was American Hammers X 40.
Great work by the Pax on one of the hottest mornings of the year. The merkins along our run helped keep the group fairly tight.
Sasquatch is Greenville’s answer to the Mule. Get there if you can.
9/11 Stair Climb at Carter-Finley. Details to follow.
Welcome to FNG Rich Richards! Rich is assistant director of music at White Memorial Presbyterian. He can play about any instrument, including the accordion. Squeeze Box it is.
“S$&@ Franzia Says” was in effect this morning. The young lady on the balcony at the Oberlin Road apartments probably didn’t know that she was the subject of F3 banter.
Thanks for the opportunity to lead this morning.
