My New Year’s Resolution was to write a backblast again after every Q.  Well.. better late than never.  As I prepared for this Q I started thinking about Marmalade.  On a trip to help others down East he was injured and had been out for a couple of weeks with a few weeks of recovery still to go.  It sure would be great to have him back out.

We gathered at Baileywick and told the PAX I’d try to whip them into shape for the upcoming Super Bowl.  We did a quick warm-up..

Off to the Rock Pile – after everyone picked up their rock, I could feel that I just wasn’t motivating the PAX.  If only we had a real coach…

The sharp shrill of a coaches whistle pierced the early morning darkness and pounding down the path out of the woods was none other than Bill Belichek!  Actually it was Marmalade.. but the gray sweatshirt with the arm cut off for the cast made for a dead ringer.  He walked the circle and got the PAX energized (and even gave Epoxy a beer – seriously).  Back to the exercises…
