Pax of 12 gathered at Williams Park this morning for the weekly post at the Crucible.  YHC wanted to push the pax this morning a little extra so not only was Rangecrest a key to the workout, but some appropriate music was included for motivation.  Some appreciated, some just grumbled, all completed the task.  No FNG’s so no disclaimer and we were off.

THE THANG

Imperial Walker X 20, Sir Fazio X 20 (front and back), Mtn Climber X 20, Merkins X 20, Good morning X 15

Indian run to Rangecrest and partner up.

Partner carry (alternating as necessary) to the top and partner derkins X 20. Mosey down the hill.  Superstar is a great partner to have for these type things!

Bear crawl up, crab walk down (had to audible on this one and lunge walked about half way down).

2 trips up and back-  partner 1 runs up the hill while other partner does prisoner squats first time, merkins second.

Mosey back to the park and to the rock pile.

While “We Will Rock You” played, rock curls with squats on the chorus…we looked like a bunch of dancers – beautiful!

Over to the tennis courts for “Thunder-Merkins.”  Thunderstruck played and the pax planked until they heard “thunder” or “thunderstruck” and that was a merkin.  Mayhem shared that he now hates that song…

Back to the lot for mary.  Showing a softer side we did the protractor through “Time to Say Goodbye.”  Great to see Wilson doing some flutter kicks in sync with an opera tune.  Reminded me of the SNL synchronized swimming skit.

COT – prayers for Overdraft’s daughter.  Announced the Forum at noon today at Panera by Whole Foods on Six Forks.  YHC shared about my wife’s granddad passing and the example he was of a man of faith.  2 TIm 4:7 – “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Reminds YHC and the pax to dig into the relationship with God that is offered to us and fight the fight of life with grace.  Always a pleasure to post with the Pax at Crucible.
