I start this post with the many things I am thankful for in my life. As I shared with the 15 PAX that came out to post with me this morning, almost to the day 5 years ago, I had a major heart issue, and was in Rex hospital undergoing a heart catheterization. To cardiologist cleared a clot from my LAD artery (the Widow Maker), which was 100% blocked, and placed a stent in the artery. When The cardiologist spoke to me after the procedure, and shared with me that this blockage had probably been there for a week, my question to him was “Why am I still here??”. I will never forget his response. You are here by the grace of God!!

I am thankful to the many of my Christian brothers that prayed for me as I recovered, and do believe the God has totally healed my heart of all of the damage from this episode. I believe that my God is still in the healing business.

I am also thankful for my F3 brothers that have pushed me to get my body into the best shape its ever been. I would never have dreamed I would be on a team doing the Blue Ridge Relay in 3 weeks. Thanks to Mr. Hand & Tecumseh for getting me to believe I can do this. And of course if am so thankful for my precious family and friends and all of the new relationships fostered in F3. We all still live in the greatest country on earth, in spite of some of its disfunction in recent days, and I am greatly thankful for that.

Lets face it none of us has to look very far to find something to be thankful for in your life, so be thankful today!!!!!!!!!
