Well, about 2 weeks prior, I vaguely remember volunteering to Q the February 5th Ground Pound workout via Facebook messages with Mr. Hand.  Fast forward to two weeks… February 4th at 5pm… I read a tweet announcing that I was Q-ing… THE NEXT MORNING.  One of those “Oh crap” moments.  I guess I’m going to Q my first workout tomorrow!  The good news was it was going to be a balmy 40 degrees.  The bad news, I was Q-ing at a site that i have only worked out at 2 times!!

The Warmup:  Short run down the side street and back up the hill.  Butt kickers, karaoke, etc until we get back to under the lights (for any latecomers)

The Thang:

Jog down to football stadium to main field for Elle McPherson.  We had a total of 5 PAX so we divided into teams of 3 and 2.  Teams would sprint to opposite corners of the field and perform exercises.  Alternate running and working out.

  • 1st Lap:  Merkins and LBC in alternating corners
  • 2nd Lap:  Burpees and Freddy Mercury

Mr. Hand called an audible on the location for the next exercise – jog to steep hill on far endzone of the stadium for burpee 11s.  OYO – Run up hill: 10 burpees – down hill 1 Prisoner squat (9-2; 8-3; 7-4… you get it).  It sucked.  Next kill a few minutes with a few laps up the steps and back down the size hill.  Recover on the run for mary  stopping at the wall for Balls to the Wall (20 count) and peoples chair.
