A record 26 PAX descended upon Fetzer Field on the Carolina campus early Monday morning for their customary beatdown. The festivities began in the gloom, gathered steam in the mist, surged into high gear in a drizzle and morphed into overdrive in a steady rain. Ah, the joy of gazing skyward while doing Freddie Mercuries while raindrops keep falling in your eyes.
After a warmup (SSH, IW, Arm Circles, Windmills, Air Squats, Carolina Dry Docks and Merkins), we adjourned to the metal bleachers for a series of Derkins and Dips—12 of each, three sets.
Then it was on to the IM Fields, where the Escalator awaited. YHC pulls this one out of his arse every three months or so, and with enough fresh meat having joined the fold of late, it was high time to revisit this particular treasure trove:
Circle up in one corner of the soccer field for 15 SSH. Then run around the edge of the field to opposite corner, where a new exercise was added for 15 reps, followed by the preceding one for 10 reps. Then around to the opposite corner, when a new exercise was added for 15 reps, followed by the first two for 10 reps each.
And so on for five full circles of the field.
The order: SSH, Parker Peters, Merkins, Plank Jacks, Air Squats, Freddie Mercuries, Carolina Dry Docks, Burpees, Jump Lunges and Low Plank Holds.
Great to see Lo Pair out mixing up nearly 100 percent. Godspeed, mate.
