Conditions
76 Degrees, not too humid.  Field conditions were awful..covered in ridiculous amounts of #goosepoop.  But everyone had gloves so we were set.

There was much chatter about FNG’s the day or 2 before the workout, so YHC once again bombarded his #sadclowns to try to get them to post.  Lots of excuses were heard as to why they couldn’t make it.  One, “thanks for the invite” came through, which YHC also took as a denial.  Little did I know that that text would prove to be bringing a long lost PAX back into the mix. #SometimesAllYouGottaDoIsAskAtTheRightTime

In fact, YHC’s brother [#biological] Quicksand was that PAX so when I got a text at 6:01 am this morning asking if the workout was at the same place (he has been MIA close to a year), I knew he had gotten up and was ready to come see what his brother had in store.  Needless to say, YHC was very very excited to have Quicksand rejoining us.

Peterbilt strolled on up looking lean and mean as his formerly tight shirt was hanging loose on him.  A large truck parked and kept running with nobody getting out.  Figured they were hunting Pokemon or just wondering what to do or who we were.  This turned out to be a FNG – later named Weedeater – that Billboard had been EH’ing for a while and finally was able to post.  When Billboard arrived, his FNG got out.  Good to have Billboard back as well, who claims he had a form of the zika virus.

Tweetsie from Columbia came in and we got to catch up a bit.  Hawk brought his 21 y.o. badda**ery to the show and was doing some sort of ridiculous balance/strength demonstration, while the older PAX creaked and groaned.

Bubbles came in smoking the wheels on his bicycle; Varsity and Lombardi were their usual strong silent types ready to get down to business; Valvano came in smiling as he always does; and YHC got to meet 2 #DR PAX.

YHC shared a message from a church service the other day explaining the Fruit of the Spirit “Gentleness”, and applied it to F3.  Sometimes it is difficult for us as men, competitive men who want to push ourselves and are leaders and sometimes have to be tough, as bosses, fathers, co-workers, accountability partners, whatever it may be, to see ourselves as “Gentle”.  In fact, Gentleness may not seem like a trait we should have/use.  But the Word ordained that there “is no law against the Fruit of the Spirit” so we ARE called to be gentle.  So think of gentleness as strength or power under control.  Like a wild horse that has been tamed.  So strong, so powerful, yet so controlled with its rider.  We too can be that way.  We can use Gentleness to have a soothing effect on those angry against us.  Let us all go forth in our days and have our strength under control!!  To be powerful men, leaders, but to do it, under control!

As always, it is a privilege and honor to lead.  Awesome group of #HIM we have and great to have some guys coming back after a while, or bringing a FNG, or coming for a #beatdown while #DR.  Great Great work by everyone!
