15 PAX (13 to start and 2 late-comers) shook off the cold temps on this Veteran’s Day, the first sub-freezing day of the season. Today was also the last day of Carpex Respect Week, as week full of respect-age Qs, so I was honored to bring some of that to our brothers in Raleigh. As always, my goal was to make the workout Whiplash-worthy, but also to keep us moving on this chilly morning. Here’s what we did:
Warm Up
Jog to side parking lot and circle up for:
- 20 SSH, IC
- 20 MC, IC
- 20 Merkins
- 15 IW, IC
- 10 Hillbillies, IC
Thang 1
Jog down to maintenance area for a set of 7s on the hill. Burpees at the top, jump squats at the bottom. Short plank-o-rama after everyone is done.
Thang 2
Small group (3 or 4) Indian run to the wall near the bottom of the grass hill for a set of over-the-wall 7s. Wide grip merkins on one side, WWIIs on the other
Thang 3
Continue Indian run through trail to bottom of hill leading to 440 bridge.
- Backwards run to sign
- 10 spider man merkins
- Regular run to top
- 10 pull-ups
- Run back to bottom
- 10 jump squats
- Repeato 2x, increasing exercise by 5 each time
Thang 4
Start heading back toward parking lot. Stop part way back for 20 plank jacks. AYG to drinking fountain. Then jog to ellipse to catch sun rise. #bestsiteinraleigh
