15 PAX rolled in on a seasonably comfortable morning (finally) to YHC’s old junior high stomping grounds, The Cougar. There was an early discussion of 420 and how the anticipated beat-down was the antithesis of that theme.

Warm Up:

SSH, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, Arm Circles (and reverse it), Willie Mayes Hayes, Body Weight Squat, Mountain Climbers

The Thang:

1/3 mile warm up run ending at back lot of the school.

The PAX circled up for the “Wave of Merkins” (AKA, the exercise the guys in Durham don’t do) – get into plank position, first person does one merkin, then the next person to the left does a merkin, and so on, until you get back to the first person who then performs 2 merkins, repeat all the way up to 10. Stayed in plank position the entire time. YHC assumed there would be much mumblechatter. Instead it was quiet, too quiet. Finished with single count merkin pyramid down as a group, 9, 8, 7 and so on. DOI was regretting not having his gloves at this point.

The PAX moseyed over to a big wall for some split group People’s Chair/Body weight squats (x30 count); rinse and repeat.

Another 1/3 mile run back around to start lot.

Hit the pull up bars for 10 reps x2 OYO; 1st set overhand, 2nd set underhand, body weight squats when done.
