So the F3 nation humored my request to Q four straight workouts this week as a lead up to what some call a birthday, but what was re-coined this morning as the 20th anniversary of my 26th year. I dunno, it felt a little better that way. Only I don’t remember as much noise coming from knees before, you know, being 26 again and all. A failed attempt at a repeat-after-me disclaimer, and the 16 of us were off:
Jog to porkchop grassy patch. 25 SSH, 10 Good Morning, 10 Windmill, 20 Mountain Climbers
Pair up for a circuit. Stay with your partner and push each other. Leave it all on the field, as they say.
Run to Dojo. 10 box bump burpees and 15 star jumps.
Run to lake track. At each fork in the road (3 of them), 20 mericans.
Run to rear parking lots. Stride the parking lot length, then 20 prisoner squats at each turn (3 each).
Turn around and repeat the same circuit in reverse. Run back to pork chop grassy area for planks. Gather up. Run back to dojo for a 3rd set of 10 box bump burpees and 15 star jumps. Run back to pork chop grassy area. Gather up, then cook it back to the parking lot. Circle up for 46 LBC’s.
Total 3 miles, 30 box jump burpees, 45 star jumps, 120 mericans, and 120 squats….and 46 LBC’s. Good work, dudes.

On a reflective note, what with the anniversary and all, I shared a few personal stories that are related to losses. The intended message (hopefully received) was not the cloud that surrounds losses that we all encounter, but the gratitude for and reminder that each day we have is a gift that should be used to its fullest. Intentionally focus on relationships, Act on compassion, Don’t delay pursuing that which is important, and avoid complacency. Prevent the future use of the words, “I should have….” and live the gift we are given. Fully. As many hours (not just days) as you can.
Stepped down off the soap box and did announcements (Komen 5K, Manna at Caribou) and Prayer Requests (none mentioned). YHC took us out.
I really appreciate being allowed the privilege to lead this week. I am glad to be a part of this group. And I am glad for another day.
Let’s see what we can do to use it well.
Like a bald man, I’m outta hair.
