This being the shortest daylight day of the year is one of the most favorite day for the YHC. After today the days start getting longer….must be time for a block party. A crisp 30 degree morning, we are all happy that the wind is not blowing as the humidity makes it feel cold enough. Let’s get the party started…
Warm up – run around the parking lot 3 times (small parking lot) circle up for:
SSH X 10, Imperial Walkers X 10, Good Morning x 10, Plank to Mountain Climber X 10 back to plank recover.
The Thang – Go to Mayhem’s truck and pick a cinder block of choice and mozy to the track and partner up.
Both partners do 10 cinder block presses 5 merkin partner chase around the track; both partners do 10 cinder block clean and presses 5 merkin partner chase around track; both partners do 10 cinder block front rows 5 merkin partner chase around track; both partners do 10 cinder block curls – Indian run around the track; 10 cinder block tri-cep extension partner chase around track; line the cinder blocks up for waling planks down the line of cinder blocks X 4; and the last dance was the cinder block hop – 5 merkin partner chase but partner 1 takes the cinder block overhead while running/jogging.walking around track. I could feel the PAX begging for an encore so we did Cinder block urkins, durkins, step ups and dips X 10 for 2 rounds.
Mary
Box Cutters X 10; Homer to Marge X 15; American Hammer with cinder block X 20 and that how the Block Party Ended.
COT – Announcements – Juggernaut will have a quad of regular 2.0’s Qing this Friday. Need to have a good representation from F3 to support these young leaders. This will be for an hour 5:45-6:45. Christmas party was well attended and a good time to boot.
Prayer Requests – AFLAC has a buddy who is going to Germany to the Christmas markets prayer for his safe travels, a couple more requests that the Q can’t remember (old age). Always prayers this time of the year for safe travel and patience while gathering with family and friends.
Moleskin – It is always an honor to Q and push and be pushed by the PAX. This time of the year comes with many emotions, another year is closing, the celebration of the birth of Jesus, reconnecting with family and friends and the joys and frustrations that the Holidays bring. I looked around the room the other night at the Christmas Party and saw many familiar faces in unfamiliar clothes that I consider brothers in Christ. Taking time most mornings to gather with fellow F3 brothers and relieve the stress that life brings is always a start to a good day no matter what the weather or time of year. God Bless to all that experience this wonderful brotherhood.
