YHC was READY to get back in the Q saddle!  After many weeks off from handing over the keys to some VQs and an apparent error on my part filling in Q dates today was my day!  24 PAX made it out for the BO BeatdOwn.

And it started off perfectly!
Just as expected I tasked the PAX to partner up before the warm up and then run around the block.  Right away the chatter was lively, “why partners? why dont we just run?”…relax guys.  There’s a reason for the season.  I want you to chat about your specific fitness goals for 2017.  Maybe by sharing them with someone else it will create a little accountability.  But naw, ya’ll just want to hate on it haha!  So again, the chatter was thick, and I was lovin’ it.

OK, let’s now get to the most uneven part of the parking lot and warm up.  (complaints complaints) (lovin’ it).

Classic warm up but it’s been so long you probably forgot…and I threw in a calf stretch just to keep the chatter against me.  It worked!  Good Mornings, Hillbillies, Merkins (calf stretch), and SSH

The Thang

The vision for this workout was to travel to multiple lots, each with a specific exercise set.  To get to each lot you and your partner do a two man Indian Run (chatter)(lovin’ it)

Lot 1:  The church lot ~  4 Corners of deconstructed burpees
1 – 20x Squats
2 – 20x Leg Thrusts or kick outs or something…
3 – 20x Merkins
4 – 20x Squat Jumps

Lot 2:  Side road lot ~ Lazy BLIMPS
P1 starts their BLIMPS and flapjack when you finish each letter
P2 freddy mercury while you wait

OK, this is when things heat up a bit…
Some of these crews are just faster than others.  So in order to give them enough to do I try and fill in the long breaks they get while they wait for the rest of us.  So I told some groups to run to the school next and when you get there us the handicap ramp to do dips.  This was done soley to give them something to do.  I almost feel like a “thank you” and a small gift wouldn’t be out of question here.  I’m a thoughtful giving Q who doesn’t want his stallions to feel underwhelmed.

Anywho…by the time I got up there it was clear to me there is a second path to get to the next parking lot.  And if you take that path the place to do dips is NOT “on the way”.  So I had to reign in that crew, call em back down to the parking lot and again lots more chatter (read: complaints).

Lot 3:  School lot ~ 4 group sets
Start at outter median
Lunge Walk to center median
Bear Crawl back
Do a Mary exercise as a group
Repeato x 4

As soon as I was about to announce our next stop for the stallions I thought, naw forget it, their brains aren’t fully functioning this early and neither are my descriptors apparently so I’ll just lead us out.  Well, pax caught wind of that mid sentence audible and began verbally abusing me so I took off running only to see they were all following me.  I couldn’t get away, Open Out was trying to hug me, and all i wanted to do was get on my phone and have a Tweet storm.

So Angry Shut-In took us to Lot 4 and Angry Shut-In had us do Burpees OYO until the 6 arrived.

Normal, classy Shutty, then took back over and we started our next set.

Lot 4:  Bakery lot ~ Partner flapjack laps
P1: Run a lap
P2: Merkins then flapjack then Backwards lunges then flapjack

Quick Side Plank J-Lo’s while the 6 completes their sets.
Finish off with a Billy Run.

– I feel like I’m Trump and the pax are the media.  You critique my leadership and decision making and I fight back only to be told I’m angry and wrong.
