Flying in on two wheels with only a minute to spare, YHC met a group of 9 pax ready to better them selves in a mosey sort of way. Tempo work was the name of the game with mile repeats to later blame. To the track…

Warm Up:

  • two laps at fellowship pace with high knees and accelerations on lap 2.
  • Circle up: Good Mornings x20, Imperial walkers x20

The Thang:

  • Using your mile race pace, add 1 minute to get T-pace. (not to be confused with terrible or terrific pace) Run 1 mile (4 laps) at T-Pace followed by 2 minutes of rest.
  • Repeato for a total of 5 repetitions
  • It is to be noted, that most of the PAX rebelled at the notion of 1 minute and opted for only 45-50 seconds above mile race pace.

Cool Down:

  • 2 laps at fellowship pace. Mutiny nearly broke out when YHC expressed other plans. Who would pass up a good opportunity for stretching and yoga under the stars? The PAX…that’s who.

COT and NMM:

  • 6.38 miles according to the Handy decoder watch. Nice work this morning.
  • Great to see Bullhorn join in the HiFi fun today. Welcome.
  • Prayers for the SC Pax and their families as they clean up from the flooding.
  • “A man was once a college student, that was once a teenager, that was once a middle schooler, that was once a little boy.” Take every opportunity to encourage a kid, especially those without much privilege. Your positive words of affirmation and attention, will do more than one would realize.
  • Honored to serve this morning. Thankful to share the gloom and life with you men.
