It was a beautiful brisk morning.  The time change allowed for a little extra sleep over the weekend, but internal clocks had us waking up early.  YHC had a little surprise planned, but he didn’t realize it was more than he bargained for.  The time came…and off we went.


Run the track and warm up with Side Straddle Hops x 25, Imperial Walkers x 20, Mountain Climbers x 25, Fazio Arm Circles x 8 x 8.

Head to the soccer field for a SOUTH COUNTY B&B: Cones were laid out every 20 yards.  The plan was to Bear Crawl from cone to cone and do 10 Burpees at each cone.  That was the plan.  Neither of us was ready for a full stay at the B&B.  We did two cones and then moved on.  Single Leg Squats x 15, switch x15

Mary part 1 was Freddy Mercury x 30, Mountain Climbers x 30, Single leg Raleigh style Homer to Marge x 15,

Mountain Climbers x 20, The other leg Raleigh style Homer to Marge x 15, Freddy Mercury x 20.

Head over the playground for some Pull Ups x 10, Decline Spiderman Merkins x 15, Incline Rows x 15, Twisting Scorpion Planks x 15.  Repeato.

Run over to the building for People’s Chair x 60, Carolina Dry Docks x 15, People’s Chair x 40.

A quick skip over to the Pavilion for Single Leg Squats x 20, Incline Spiderman Merkins x 20, Repeat with the other leg and more Spiderman Merkins.

Return to the B&B for one more cone…we were toast.

Mary Part 2 – Rosalitas x 20, LBCs x 20, Window Washers x 20, Low Slow Flutter Kicks x 20, Freddy Mercurys x 20.


Bear Crawls and Burpees were a deadly duo to us.  What I thought would be challenging totally kicked our tails.  We agreed the B&B needs to be a part of our regular rotation until we can travel the 100 yards without gasping for air, and wimping out.  It was nice to have some daylight at the end of the workout.  We hope our new visibility will encourage some of the Plastic Fern Folk to suck it up and join us in the gloom.
