It is customary for PAX to lead workouts on their birthday, if they feel so led. Many PAX Q multiple workouts the week of their birthday. YHC knew there was only one AO for his birthday Q, and was willing to wait until the day after his birthday to celebrate. 16 PAX (no Mr. Rodgers), with one FNG took off into the gloom.
Mosey to the carousel area for warmups. SSH x25, Good Mornins x15, Imperial Walkers x20, Mountain Climbers x20, Plank Jacks x20.
Two groups. Group 1-Partner chase around the pond twice, when you catch your partner 5 burpees. Group 2 – AMRAP stairbarrows until the other group returns. Lots of stairbarrows. Flapjack.
Mosey to the bridge. Group 1- Bearcrawl the bridge, 10 burpees, jog back. Group 2-AMRAP Flutters. Flapjack. Repeato with WWII sit-ups. Flapjack.
Fellowship pace back to the parking lot. At the base by park entrance, YHC calls an exercise, when completed PAX sprint to top of the parking lot and jog back down. Here’s what we did.
Merkins x20, Makhtar Diaye x15, Reverse LBCs x25, Dry Docks x20. Last sprint, give it all ya got left. Done.
Impressive work this morning men. It was a steamer out there. T-claps to our FNG Nutmeg (soccer player and coach), and to a couple 2nd timers who joined us. Hopefully it was tough enough for Myrtle, shame I won’t get a Myrtle Meter score but that’s democracy. I suspect points would’ve been deducted for the cab driver smoking a joint in the parking lot while we ran the hill. Mr. Rodgers saw his streak of 43 Forge appearances end this morning. A sad day in Forge history.
