7 PAX made it out last evening for some fellowship and folly at the Pharmacy.  A good time was had by all.  The only exercising we did was with our facial muscles, mostly smiling and/or talking major trash to each other.  Some observations:

  • YHC felt incredibly uncomfortable with everyone in work attire.  It just seemed so…unusual
  • It was also strange seeing Ma Bell without a hat, or bandana, or anything else covering his skull.  It just seemed so…scary
  • In work clothes, Burt looked shorter than he does in a tank top and shorts.  He just seemed so…dainty.
  •  Cee-Lo was the only other attendee in shorts.  He must be the only other person there sensible enough to realize that it was A BILLION DEGREES outside yesterday.  I get swampy just looking out my window, if you know what I mean.  It just seemed so….logical.
  • In the year I’ve been frequenting the Cary AO’s, I don’t believe I have ever seen Riptide without a hat on.  His hair was freaking magnificent.  I mean, have you seen it?  No wonder they call him Riptide.  The waves in his hair are perfect!  A flawless smattering of brown and gray swept so assertively to the side.  I think I might have a man-crush on Rip’s noggin.  It just seemed so…Unicorn-like (like, if you were to see it, you’d swear to yourself that it wasn’t possible, and would spend the next 30 years trying – and failing – to convince yourself that it wasn’t real.  But to you, it was real.  And no one will ever believe you.  So, you just have to deal with that reality.  But you can never tell anyone, lest they think you’re a crazy person.  I may or may not have had a dream about surfing through Riptide’s hair with dolphins showing me the way to the Promised Land).
  • There’s no way I could mysteriously “see” such a beautiful thing as Rip’s hair.  It just seemed so….REAL!!!!!!!
  • IT WAS REAL!!!!!!
  • It was real.
  • YHC was surprisingly unfazed by chilling with dude’s nearly twice his age.  It just seemed so…geriatric.
  • That was mean. It just seemed so…honest.
  • Coney, conversely to Burt, seemed taller than he normally does in work clothes.  I decided that if he got a really dark tan, he would be a dead ringer for “The Most Interesting Man In The World”.  Coney doesn’t always drink beer, but when he does, he prefers to do so at the Pharmacy. It just seemed so…apt a description.
  • Franklin is the last to get listed here, but that doesn’t mean he’s the least. It means he’s the BEAST.  And I’ve run out of time before my next meeting.

See you all in two weeks, same time, same place.
