Earlier in the week, YHC was checking the weather for this morning and all indicators were pointing towards thunderstorms for most of the morning.  With that in mind, YHC did not see the point of planning out a Q b/c if there’s thunder/lightning, we’ll just go the deck of cards route under the shelter by the bathrooms (I think the official name per Lexicon is Deck of Death).  Also, after some Thursday night bartering via text message, Mr. Slate agreed to Co-Q today in exchange for my cancelling a budgeted-fartsack to post on Friday for Bob Ross’ last Juggernaut Q (Congrats on the new gig BR – best of luck in Charlotte).

Moving forward, YHC’s plan for the Deck of Death turned out to be unnecessary, as a last-minute check of the forecast this AM showed no storms, maybe some rain……so no need for the cards, just have to wing it.

As Quickhatch was finishing up, the pax began to gather.  No FNGs, but we did have Beverly visiting from Winston-Salem – welcome, glad to have you.  With a veteran group the intro/disclaimer was very informal, and……….
